You previously read an article here about how to market your business, and I told you a tip about writing down the detailed portrait of the person who you want to market with. I still get today lots of questions about how to « detail » the persons, how to find my niche ?
This video is to help you IMPLEMENT this TARGETING.
Most of internet marketers say they want to market to « people who wants to make more money », which in perspective describes practically all the niches that exist on earth.
An endless list, from dog owners who want to educate their pet, to physicians, lawyers, teenagers, retirees, …..
Each of those persons want to make more money, but each has different goals, values, perceptions, and responses to marketing.
We come to see here first a very important COMPONENT : which is your sales FUNNEL has to be CONGRUENT with your NICHE.
In other words, you first define your targeted niche,
Then you create your funnel according to your definition :
Your ad Copy > landing page > sales letter> thank you page> back end Sales > e=mail follow up .
Define your market : you cannot market to and convert a lot of different people, and also you must not be scared of « missing out » on some of the market, as you need to narrow as much as possible your audience.
If you keep a too wide market, the result will be that no one will respond, because your sales funnel is build with no one to address to in particular.
It will result that none of your traffic feels like you’re talking to them , which is essential for anything to convert.
Your prospects need to really feel this « yes, it’s totally me, it’s exactly what I’m struggling with.. »
There must be this feeling of rapport with you, where the prospect see your site as it is written for him .
A good copy writing is mandatory for that, and with his feeling of adequacy, it creates killer opt-in rates as well as the purchase of your product an obvious action for the prospect.
Now, here your start :
Take one page and write up all about your target prospect .
What I do is take myself as an example, and describe the person that will get hocked by my personality, because of she can see herself in one of several points in me : what’s important to her, her history, values, how she speaks, what are her aspirations , where she hangs out, what she likes, how old is she, what she does for fun….
Once you have this page done, use it as your reference point for all your future marketing, this will save you a TON of time, and time is money…
Did not you spend hours if not days asking yourself those questions :
What domain name should I use ?
What ad copy should I write ?
What headline ? What storyline, what e-mail subject line, what body in the e-mail ?
Which language ?
When you know EXACTLY who is your target, what are their core-values, what they REALLY are after, you have all the day to day decisions required to create killer marketing campaigns, faster rand more effective.

Finding your niche is essential for your business and until you have specifically defined it, you actually don’t have a business.
