SEO: 2 Basic Points to Understand, and Make it Easy and Effective for Your Business

This is a short but very important introduction to the 2 webinars about SEO, given this month online by our team leaders : Adam Whiting and Mike Hobbs.

TWO THINGS to consider , like 2 actors here :
The USER : the « prospect » the searcher,
And
The Used One: the Search Engine, the tool.

THE USER  goes through a process , simple but we need to know .

Before he even makes an inquiry on the search bar, he has already gone through 4 choices :

1- he has decided to use internet to look for an answer to his problem
2- he decided which Search Engine he wants to use – generally Google, and we’ll see the second one is YouTube !
3- he decided what phrase or keyword he’s gonna look for
4- he decided which website from the 1st page of Google, or Youtube’s results he’s gonna choose to buy from .



 This process is TO BE UNDERSTOOD in order to KNOW WHAT TO DO TO BE FOUND on the net.
You want people to PICK YOUR SITE.
The Search Engine :
GOOGLE.


What’s its goal : SE ‘s goal is to stop the search
So, the user put his keyword and fast he gets the response . Then he clicks 99% of the time on the first 3 spots given on the first page of the results.


NOW, our goal is to be in those 3 first spots, and that’s why we want to use SEO in our marketing with our sites.


And what are our ways to effectively work our SEO :
2 things :
first : On page leverage
second : do the correct use of SEO.


The on page leverage is the most important thing that you need to understand :
Make sure you do the correct one , the key is RELEVANCY : the content that is on your site. The backlinks then , although very important are not sufficient.


Because of you have relevant pages, you will need only 10 backlinks do be on first page results of Google, when the guy who has not relevant content needs 100 backlinks.
10 backlinks with relevant content will be notified by Google’s eyes much better than 100 backlinks on non relevant content’s site.


So understand : the user, the mindset, and that SEO is SCIENTIFIC. Bottom line.
Cover the onpage leverage, the correct SEO.

5 EFFECTIVE WAYS TO CREATE STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR YOUR GOALS

Strategic planning is essential to put your goals in motion. In order to have the most efficient goals settings, you need to write first your business plan, second your strategies for achieving those goals. Now that you have set your goals for 2010, your have plans and strategies to implement those plans, you probably have started to go into action.

I do, I have. And I see that I need to be very disciplined and vigilant , not to let old habits come back, and glue me into the ” analysis paralysis ” or kind of psychological block .

Here are for you 5 tips that I have been practicing for my business and for my life planning, and that have been the most efficient:

1.  Stop searching for people’s approval
You need to trust yourself and give yourself permission to succeed, not anyone else’s permission. Sure it’s a great thing to have support from people whose opinion you value. But this shouldn’t be a criterion for the decision that you make to acting on realizing your goals, and how .
If you really have the desire to fulfill your dreams, turn your ideas into reality, then seeking people’s approval and constantly floating it around will waste your time, and eventually slow you down then stop you on your way.
So ask yourself what would happen if you don’t get the permission or approval of those who you think are smart ? You answer is : nothing.

2.  Make your decision definitely once and for all
Just like most things in life, the process of goal achievement starts with a decision. You have to decide what you want, before you can plan and think about strategies. You need to decide what to do, when to do it, and how to do it . Your unability to make decisions will kill your dream. Also, hesitation is a shocker and time -wasting trap : when you study the habits of successful people, you’ll see that they are the fastest decision-making. So make up your mind, and don’t let anything stop you from progressing towards achieving your goals. Soon, you’ll read an new article telling you how to be unstoppable.

3. Master your schedule, and set times for your goals
How to avoid what many people fall in : they are always too busy to do everything else, but working on their goals, they wait for everything to be perfect and in place for acting.
When you have a goals, or goals to achieve, you have to set up your mind to be determined, and stop excuses that lead to procrastination, then to loss of enthousiasm, and kill your dream.
Conditions may never be as perfect as you like, you may never have time, money, or knowledge that you desire to start working on your goals. But if you wait for that perfect time, you might very well never start !
There is always time to work on what you love and what is important to you ! Just decide to take that time, find it anyway, and watch your dreams unfold !

4. Be organized and entrepreneurial
Its so much easier to master your time when you have good organization, and determination, and commitment.
Commit yourself to projects and activities only that are connected to your goal.
You must have planned your goal, and now make it a priority. What ever you start doing in your day, must be an add up to the motion to your goal. Check why you are doing each action : that will keep you away from overwhelm and confusion.
Take charge of turning your dream into reality : be involved actively in your process to achieve your goals, be responsible 100%. Don’t wait for others to give you ideas and suggestions, or things happening to react to them. Be proactive. Nobody cares about you dream like you do .

5. Invest in yourself, invest in your dream
Be and stay conscious : don’t be thinking that people will finance your project or idea just because it’s brilliant. You can be lucky and get some good financial help, but anyway, with it and without it, you have to invest your time, your finances, all your energy into activities that will participate to unfold your dream.
Also you need to be an eternal student : invest into new knowledge and expertise, and into self-development.

Introduction to Outsourcing

Here is  the introduction to outsourcing, written by my partners in this industry, who provide me with the services that makes me earn a lot of time and money!  You’ll discover in some next posts, the detailed value of those services, and I’ll show you why you have a big advantage when you use them.

Today, let’s go through a general introduction , and the role of outsourcing in the actual economy.

Today, we all know that to run a small or large business, the focus should be on how to survive the global economic turndown that everybody is experiencing.  Businesses from different industries resort to some “belt tightening” or cost-cutting. For this obvious reason, companies from North America and Europe are now embracing the benefits of outsourcing as an immediate solution to continue playing on the marketplace.

We can’t deny the fact that outsourcing helps various industries to keep them afloat while the world economy is still in depression.  Why? Great savings from overhead expenses is first on the list.  Companies would not have to worry about some fixed overhead like salaries and wages of their workforce.  Some valuable functions that are often being outsourced are: customer service, payroll, accounting, and IT functions to mention a few.  Outsourcing practically eliminates the aforementioned functions that they could lack some expertise about.  Therefore their valuable time is devoted on the things they do best and create a wider opportunities for productions, services or quality products for their consumers and keeping ahead of their rivals. This would then build a better reputation for the business.

One downside of outsourcing is that it contributes to the increasing unemployment or underemployment rate in the US, which is the biggest market of this industry. This is, at some point, true – but only considered a temporary disadvantage. Why don’t we look at the bigger picture? As a company outsource, they would gain better performance on their financials because of the huge cut down on overhead expenses. This will then open doors to create new avenues of business prospects that would could generate employment of higher levels for Americans in the long run. We should understand that the cheaper we get the products or services due to the outsourcing firms’ lower labor cost or services; the cheaper the companies could sell back these products to the Americans and European consumers.

It is also important to note that the jobs being outsourced are given to the Third World countries like Philippines, India, Malaysia, Pakistan and more, who have highly competitive workers that are known for their excellent skills and professionalisms.  Outsourcing surely creates jobs for these developing countries thus boosting and stabilizing their economies.  This will result to an opportunity for their citizens to improve their standard of living.  With empowered citizen, it could build a strong nation that is able to gradually pay back debts to U.S. while simultaneously increasing business trades for U.S. products.

Maybe not everyone would believe the above-mentioned statements as outsourcing is indeed a sensitive issue to some.  But let’s not see outsourcing as an economic enemy but as an ally to battle the economic crash until such time that the market gets better.  I would say outsourcing is our partner toward to globalization and it’s here to stay.

HOW TO CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR INTERNET MARKETING BUSINESS AND FOR ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE

Do you use a vision-board, do you write goals for your business, do you plan to fail (= fail to plan) in your marketing ?

I personally struggled in starting marketing on line, as being first overwhelmed : I was curious about so many things, in internet businesses, that I was like swimming in an ocean of information, and not even conscious of I was multitasking, multisurfing, and not going anywhere really. So I realised I was not clear about what I wanted, as I wanted it all at once !
When this happens to you, you need to have first a clear vision about what you want your project to look like.
This is regarding not only your marketing business, but also anything that you want to build in your life.
Giving clarity to my wants is what helped me to get out of struggling in my businesses.
How can you implement this right away ? How to create your vision ?

Here is the method I used, and still use for any new project that I have : take now these 3 simple steps :

First – Find your “Why” : be clear on the reasons that pushes you into what you do. This first step is very important to achieve, as it will help you on every others steps of your plan. You will use your Why kept in mind each time you start an action that is supposed to lead you towards your goals.

Second– Do this simple exercise : Take 3 minutes and imagine the story of you, in 5 years time from today, which you tell to a friend. You describe him your project, how you are planning to realize it, and what will be the result , describing all the details : the locations, the colors , the sizes, the brands of the car, watch, clothes you wear, the persons you are with …..

Third- Write it down : write your story and put pictures on it : this is your vision . And you have already started to achieve it.
